Joining Edna's lovely Poetry Site is easy-peasy!
1. Click on REGISTER and fill in all the required fields. Note that
a. your username must be in lower case without any spaces; once joined you can not change this - however you can use a different name to post your poems and comments; for example you could register as "satan" and then change the name you wish to be known as to "Satan", "The Great Satan" or even "Mrs Smith" if you wanted;
b. you must provide a real, live email address;
c. you must provide a date of birth; of course, this need not be your real d.o.b.; if you wish to reveal your true age, you should at least put in the correct year; otherwise, who cares what date you put in?
2. You now need to validate your new account at Edna's.
a. After you have completed the registration form, clicked the "I agree" button and entered the code supplied to indicate you are a human and not a spambotty thing, you will be sent an email which will provide you with a one-time verification code;
b. you click on the link which brings you back to the site; you will need to enter your password and then enter the validation code; simples! You are now a member of Edna's lovely Poetry Site!
3. There is NO formal censorship here and more or less anything goes; however, PLEASE observe the following or else Edna will smite you:
a. No incitement to commit illegal acts of any kind;
b. Writing anything which would get you locked up at home if you said it in public is probably not acceptable here;
c. No direct personal insults to other members - whilst it is OK to say "your opinion is totally worthless and only a mental defective could possibly believe that" it is not good manners to say "you are a mental defective". Got it?
4. Now you can GET POSTING! You will see there are lots of different categories for you to post either poems, prose/short stories or comments; if you would like your own personal space so as to keep all your artistic endeavours in one place, just ask Edna.
