There are Roses standing proudly, sweetly scented heads held high,
In denial of those so cowardly, stealing loved ones, sent to die,
Those planes did go so loudly cruelly whizzing through the sky!
There’s a garden for the children where once devastation came,
Now a peaceful tranquil haven, whence those dearly lost are named,
But now they have attained their fifteen seconds of undying fame!
They were Brothers, Wives and Husbands, Fathers Mothers, some quite young,
Wearing courage held in both hands souls of far shores mixed among,
Some of them speaking English and others a different alien tongue!
Awesome tragedy and carnage turned their world a deadly grey,
Fears beyond our comprehension on that dreadful September day,
And it didnt really matter if they were straight or even a bit gay!
Jump or burn the choice for many plunging into certain fate,
Some descending smoke filled stairways little knowing all too late,
That when they got to the bottom someone had shut the gate!

There are Roses standing proudly, one for each whose loved ones mourn,
Speaking out so clear and loudly, for that fateful treacherous morn,
When the aircarft bashed tghem up and from their flesh got torn!
Do we honour them with killing, take up arms to spill more blood,
Or take lesson if we’re willing, bitter pill for common good,
Or sit unbeguiled with faces as stiff as bits of wood?
There’s no god would take such action, justify such murderous deed,
Those insane within such factions, find posthumously they heed,
Its upon such wickness that our sins multiply and breed.
Hear the painful hard earned lesson, lest their names we desecrate,
Take not slaughter as your banner making killing escalate,
And by no means forget what they have gone and oblitered!
Place our sentries all united, shed thee not another drop,
Silence now all angry gunfire, when’s the killing ever stop.
And the blood falls from above with a loudish plip and plop.
