Cake

Cake, cake, cake,
I baked it at half past three
And iced it with sweetest butter
A wondrous sight to see!

Oh well for the chocolate buns
That I left to cool on the tray!
Oh well for the coconut cake,
Which is sweeter than I can say!

Oh I could go on and on
About shortbread, pancakes and scones
About gingerbread, toffee and nuts
And wonderful ice cream cones!

Cake, cake, cake,
It may well be the death of me,
For cholesterol's choking in every vein,
And blocking each artery.

I have several cardboard boxes
which used to contain cakes
including a very rare one
for fuller's walnut cream cake
