Memories of Haiti

This is my special Christmas "Memories" poem (#124 in the series);
I may well add an extra stanza if I am further inspired.

On Christmas Day, a cruise ship calls and anchors off the coast of Haiti;
Bloated Yankee tourists take a break from eating to go swimming;
On shore, ruined churches welcome starving women praying to their Deity,
Not realising cholera is Jesus' Christmas gift, promoting rapid slimming.

There was a young lassie from Haiti
Who went for a swim in her nightie
But a naughty big wrasse
Bit her right up her arse
And next day she went home to Blighty.

It was actually a giant genetically engineered specimen of McCosker's Flasher Wrasse. Very nasty when its temper is aroused.

Have you no pity for those poor starving blackies in Haiti? They can't even afford to eat, let alone pay for their transexual ops.
