O dear Lord, I ask you for your help As I settle me down to sleep Please keep me from Satan's power As I journey down in the deep.
I kneel beside my bunk tonight And beg you to hear my plea Don't let my submarine sink tonight Or founder under the green sea.
Give me strength to do my jobs And help me to be brave So I can return safe home to land And not have a watery grave.

Welcome to my poetry site, Edward! I laughed a lot at this. Are you a mongol perchance?

I particularly liked the line, "Give me strength to do my jobs". Keep up the good work, brother and PRAISE THE LORD!

Oh Edward, that's really very sweet. I hope your teacher gave you a good mark? Maybe even a gold star?
