I figured I'd throw the first post onto the thread. This is a very, very old couple of paragraphs I originally wrote for a MySpace blog. I wrote it with a particular disappointing friend in mind, and used him to address friendship in general. This ended up being 'Part 1' a couple months after it was written.
I could speak volumes of your failure, all to have you shrug and go about your trite existence, inherently slothful and careless. I detest how you incessantly skirt necessary maintenance and responsibility, your will to disregard my existence. I cared, you shrugged. I spoke up once before, albeit harsh to an unnecessary extent; it's only now I realize my intent was just, my point then was indeed correct, it remains correct, and you have yet to comprehend, not just my point and intent, but that I spoke up because I cared; yet again, you shrug. You are a testament to the reliability of people a man might never know in person, but indeed he knows well; and he cherishes their existence that much more because of it.
Your actions have spoken for themselves, and in them you have said the following. You have admitted to an inherent will-to-convenience, in which you revel and feign care. You have admitted to lacking interest, and vital care; a blatant slap to the face of men who act the contrary. You have admitted to skirting responsibility; stating that you will have no part in upholding an important prerequisite, maintaining that which you apparently consider to be a pseudo-relation.
Lastly, you have admitted to lacking any right to speak on behalf of the reliability of other men; in this, your critique of these men holds no importance, nor does it hold any validity. If you were to open your mouth in protest of the actions these men perform, you admit to hypocrisy in that you perform these very actions. It would be wise of you to abstain from dishonesty; if you, now, openly critique a man, I posit that you do not, in fact, care about said man, nor said man's actions, intent, or character. I posit the following point: In openly critiquing any man, you essentially speak to an inherent will-to-convenience, and social acceptance.
I address this here for reasons you should have already deduced. This is an open letter to you, whose name(s) I withhold; it is a public address, speaking to the incompetence, carelessness, and unreliability of men and women like you. If any lesson is to be learned, you will not learn it; it's other men that may comprehend where the lesson lies: emotion, patience, nor care is to be wasted on you. Considering the aforementioned, I resolve to abstain from contact, care, and all previously held positions concerning you; that is, until you, as a man, mature within reason. To you, I wish a good life, if you have the drive to live such a life.
